Watermark

Watermark lays a line of text or a logo image over every file in a batch, using one set of placement, size, opacity and rotation settings. The mark is sized as a percentage of each image's shorter side, so it comes out proportionally the same on a portrait crop and on a wide banner rather than being tiny on one and enormous on the other. Turn tiling on and the mark repeats across the whole frame instead of sitting in a single corner.

How it works

  1. Add the images to mark Drop a batch onto the page, browse for them, or paste from the clipboard. Every file in the batch gets the same mark.
  2. Choose text or a logo Text is typed straight in and drawn in the app's sans face at semibold, with a colour and an optional outline up to 12 pixels wide — an outline is what keeps light text readable over a light photo. A logo is a second file dropped into the small zone in the settings rail; PNG with transparency works best.
  3. Size it and place it Size is a percentage of each image's shorter side: 2 to 40 percent for text, 2 to 60 for a logo. The nine-cell grid picks a corner, an edge or the centre, and the offset pair insets the mark from whichever edge that position names.
  4. Set opacity and rotation Opacity starts at 70 percent and rotation runs from -90 to 90 degrees. Turning on Repeat across the image tiles the mark over the whole frame, at which point position and offset no longer apply.
  5. Apply and download Keep each file in its original format or write WebP, PNG or JPEG, press Apply, then download the results as a ZIP.

Questions

Does the offset move a centred mark?
No. The offset is an inset from whichever edge the chosen position names, so raising it always moves the mark inwards. On an axis that is centred, the offset is ignored — there is no such thing as centred but twenty pixels off centre.
Can I watermark a whole folder of images at once?
Yes. Drop as many files as you like: the mark, its placement, opacity, rotation and output format apply to every file, and the results come back as a ZIP. The work runs across a pool of Web Workers inside your own browser, so no image is uploaded and no account is needed.
Is the watermark permanent?
It is drawn into the pixels of the exported file, so it cannot be switched off afterwards — but it is not protection. A visible mark can be cropped out or painted over by anyone who has the file. It records ownership; it does not enforce it.
